GeoChirp is a location based Twitter search. It provides an interesting mashup of Google Maps and Twitter Search. All you need to do is to set the location and then search for tweets based on some keywords. All results from that location would be displayed.

The fact that GeoChirp … doesn’t even require me to register, is a plus in my book. And the fact that it does one thing – help you search tweets for keywords in a certain geographic area – and does it well, is an even bigger plus.
