TwitterGadget is a clean, web 2.0 style client for Twitter, designed to submit status updates to Twitter via iGoogle or Gmail. (via Micro Persuasion)

TwitterGadget enables the user to toggle on/off various display elements such as user thumbnails, timestamps, and post sources. Refresh intervals can be set from 3 to 30 minutes, or manual only.

Not only can TwitterGadget run as a miniature Twitter App in your sidebar, but it can run like a full blown Twitter client when you click on the ‘double arrows’ in the title bar.

You can tweet, retweet, change colours, and other settings to make it function the way you want.

Another cool feature is its keyboard shortcuts and support for various symbols.

twalala gives you the ability to mute the people you follow if they’re getting a bit chatty. Or filter out tweets that contain specific keywords from your twitter stream.
