Kred calculates dual metrics for Influence and Outreach by analyzing a person’s ability to inspire action and level of interaction with others. Influence, scored on a normalized 1,000 point scale, measures the ability to inspire action or influence others in the form of retweets, replies, likes, new follows and other actions. Outreach levels reflect generosity and increase each time a person initiates conversations, interacts with others or spreads their content.

Kred scores are driven by relevance and emphasize the importance of small close networks of like-minded people. As well as offering overall network scores, Kred offers user scores for each of the communities formed around their interests and affinities. Engaged and respected community members will have a higher score within their community than a disinterested person regardless of their total number of followers.

How it works?

• Follow @datatoy
• So lets say you are training for a 100km bike ride. You want to log all your training via twitter, and see it collected into a nice table and a nice chart. To log your 20 mile ride this morning just tweet:

*training 20 miles

• You don’t need to set up “training”, tell what “miles” are. Just make sure @datatoy is following you first.
• In this case “training” is what is the collection, so you need the * immediately before the word. You can have as many collections as you like.

Now visit http://datatoy.net/user/your_twitter_name and you’ll see your new charts.

You input a Twitter name into the searchbox and hit enter. Foller.me gets access to the profile of that user via the Twitter API, scans all the public info and the latest 200 tweets. Foller.me provides you the most significant parts of those 200 tweets. It builds up three tag clouds: topics, #hashtags and @mentions, all based on the user’s recent activity, AND excluding all stop words!

Recent topics are the words used most in a tweep’s timeline.

#hashtags perhaps are more significant to techies and geeks, most of them include hashtags when posting links.

Finally, @ mentions are those people whom this tweep mentioned in the past 200 tweeps. Empty? Probably a robot.

The world map showing the regions where your followers belong is quite interesting and sheds light on the kind of tweets that you’re making and the interest region for the same.
