TweetChat is an interesting way to filter out the noise from your Twitter stream and focus only on conversations tagged with a particular hashtag. You can invite users to your chat room and can post from it as well.
TweetChat uses OAuth for login and provides you with your own familiar Twitter background for your chat session.
